BATTLING RULES AND GUIDELINES,
001. The first post from each person (even if you join the thread on the third page) cannot have you attacking or getting ready for an attack. The post should state what your character looks like and their weapons. Please, with weapons, be realistic and don't have fifty weapons! Also, since each character has a biography on the site you do not have to list their abilities/powers.[/b]: when you use Out Of Character information or (information your character does not have) in a fight, bestowing him that information.[/ul]
002. The very first post of the thread must list everything about the surroundings in the battle. If anything in the very first post or your first post into the thread is forgotten, you cannot use it later in the fight. This is God-Modding and will not be tolerated. Your character and only your character is the character that you control, not the other members'.
003. If this is a planned thread and upon your first post, you know where your opponent will be then do not post that. That is creator knowledge NOT character knowledge. This is considered Meta-Gaming and will not be tolerated.
004. No God Moding. This goes towards those that take a hit in the battle and get up from it like nothing ever happened. Battling is a competition against two different skills. The first is to outsmart and outmatch their opponent is the winner.
005. No Auto-Attacks. An Auto-Attack is when your attack lands on your opponent without letting your opponent counter, block, dodge, avoid, or deflect in their posts after wards.
006. You must post equal length to your opponents attack post if you are to dodge, counter, block their attack. Anything less than the other's attack part of the post is subject to voiding the move or the move hitting. If User "A" gets a 5+ paragraph attack post, User "B" will have to explain their actions and how they countered, dodged, or blocked the attack in the reply message that is 5+ paragraphs long.
007. You can not use a massive power that blows up the entire universe. You may ONLY use powers in the abilities list. All powers in the abilities list are approved of by the staff. Should you make an ability and subject it to approval and it gets approved while you are during a battle thread, you may not use it in that battle thread. However, you may use it in a battle thread that you start after it's approval.
008. Only post when it is your turn to post. If this is a two person only battle, post only after the other person does. Do not post twice in a row. If it is more than two-people then you may post after anyone, as long as that anyone is not yourself.
009. All attacks are attempted attacks. Meaning you post your character attacking, the other person decides whether or not if it connects. You cannot attack and connect in the same post.
010. You may interrupt the other character's attack should it be realistic and logical. If it is not, then the interrupt may be considered void.
011. It is allowed for a character to be thinking in post about what s/he would do should the attack miss by thinking of another attack. If the other character falls into the first character's trap, the attack will land. This, again, is allowed.
012. 10 and 11 must be both realistic and logical. If it is not, then you may be asked to rewrite the post or the attack may be voided. [/size][/blockquote]
WINNING A BATTLE,
[/blockquote]
001. The first step to winning a battle is being specific and elaborating. Be descriptive in your posts and make sure you don't forget to say or respond to something. If you forget a part of the other person's post and you don't respond to it, then it could be used against you to land an automatic hit.
002. Remember no God-Modding or Meta-Gaming. If you are found doing this, it could damage your chances of winning the battle.
003. Each character has a rank based upon your skill points. Each rank has a different amount of times you can be hit in a battle.Newcomer - 5
Lieutenant - 10
Sargent - 12
Commander - 15
General - 20
Master - 25
Veteran - 40+
